This work is entitled Islamic Perspective of Sociology and Anthropology: Some Reflections. It is an edited work with seven main chapters excluding conclusion. The titles of all chapters are listed in the work’s table of contents and subsequently discussed by the authors in their respective chapters.The main aim of this book is to enrich the understanding of society (sociology) and man (anthropology), particularly with regard to the respective topics, with Islamic inputs and this is broadly referred to as ‘Islamic perspective’. Provision of Islamic inputs/perspective for understanding subject matters of various academic disciplines has long been felt necessary on the ground that the current treatment of such topics has been for long-discussed only from the conventional viewpoint which is basically Western and secular in nature.
